Explore Our Trips
Yakima River Fly Co. is your gateway to exploring the stunning waterways of Washington! I offer exciting fishing trips on different rivers, tailored to suit everyone from beginners to experienced anglers. Let’s embark on an adventure together and create lasting memories while enjoying the thrill of fishing in these scenic locations.

Yakima River
Tucked between the Cascade Mountains and Central Washington’s high desert, the Yakima River offers one of the most scenic and productive fly fishing experiences in the Pacific Northwest. As Washington’s only Blue Ribbon trout stream, the “Yak” fishes strong year round with healthy populations of wild Rainbow and Westslope Cutthroat trout with an ever changing menu of stonefly and mayfly hatches. Up near Cle Elum, the Yakima River flows through forested foothills with pine and cottonwood-covered banks and cold, clear water. As it winds downstream toward Ellensburg, the landscape transitions into sagebrush hills and dramatic basalt canyons — a striking shift from alpine to arid that makes this river truly unique. It’s a place for first casts and personal bests – just a short drive from Seattle and will always give you a reason to come back.

Klickitat River
Tucked into the basalt canyons of south-central Washington, the Klickitat River is fed by glaciers on Mount Adams and flows cold and strong through dense pine forests, rugged canyons, and remote wilderness. From late summer into fall, the Klickitat sees strong returns of both hatchery and wild steelhead — aggressive fish that eat swung flies, stoneflies, and salmon eggs. It’s a river for anglers who want to feel off the grid and have a chance at encountering fish that can bend your hook.

Snoqualmie River
South and Middle Forks of the Snoqualmie River offer intimate, accessible trout water just a 30-minute drive from Seattle. These freestone streams wind through mossy corridors of fir and cedar, with pocket water, plunge pools, and glassy tailouts that hold eager wild trout ready to eat a dry fly. The perfect water to put your bamboo or light trout rod to the test. A fantastic setting to learn how to effectively fish on foot.
